A recent survey highlights that nearly 50% women fail to are failing on basic oral healthcare .
The National Dental Survey, undertaken for the British Dental Health Foundation, has found that 48% of women do not brush their teeth properly and most of them fail to floss frequently.
Prior to National Smile Month (May 14 - June 13), this nationwide survey, shows that 55% of women brushing for just two minutes, 38% do not floss and 50% consider cleaning their tongue disgusting!
Most people consider oral health to be teeth whitening or NHS dentistry.
Of course this is a case in point that we need to do more to help ourselves.
We need to be undertaking a good healthcare routine to maintain a healthy smile and brushing with fluoride toothpaste two minutes twice daily, flossing every day and reducing our intake of sugary drinks and foods.
