Women too Stressed to Eat

Mon, 08 May 2006

Millions of women are over-worked and suffering from stress in their job . This leaves them in a state where they do little exercise and do not eat healthily, so says recent research.

A new Weight Watchers survey of 2,100 respondents highlights that 50% of us eat a ready meal twice a week due to long working hours.

More than 50% claimed that they were stressed, with 2 in 5 moaning that their job prevented them from having a healthy lifestyle .

Those most stressed work in telecoms, computing, education, healthcare or transport.

Emma Hetherington from Weight Watchers stated that balancing a hectic life impacted on healthy eating .

Stress, not feeling happy and stress are very common amongst Britain's workforce.

This seems to provide a platform for comfort eating, snatching fast food when there is no time to prepare a home cooked meal and of course this means no or minimal exercise .
